Petrochronology offers new insights on geochemistry, mineral rock textures, thermodynamics and other models aiming at integrating the information about timing and rates contained in accessory minerals in a larger petrogenetic context.  The aim of this “Ecole Thématique CNRS” is to review petrochronological tools (theoretical and analytical as well) in order to illustrate how accessory minerals can be used to improve our understanding of magmatic and metamorphic processes. During this “Ecole Thématique CNRS”, the French community will benefit from recent developments associated to this integrated approach of petrology and geochronology to better unravel the rock archive and the genesis of mountain belts.

The amount of participants is limited to 50. You can register here (two steps). Registration is open until 15 June.
